When I run the installation program under Windows XP, I get a warning message:
'The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?'

This will occur with Windows Service Pack 2 (apparently the warnings in Vista are even more perverse). The setup file (mathtoweb_ver20_setup.exe) has been self-signed and you can verify this by clicking on the 'Unknown Publisher' link in the above warning. In fact if you navigate to: Unknown Publisher -> View Certificate (a button) -> Certification Path (a tab), you will see that it states 'This certificate is OK'.
This is adequate to ensure that the program has not been tampered with after it was compiled and signed.
You can check the above certificate information if you like, but generally this warning can be completely ignored - press Run.

I use IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) and have installed the MathPlayer plugin but MathML is still not being rendered properly?

IE user who have the MathPlayer plug-in installed, may still get security warnings such as those displayed below which prevent the plug-in from working.

The default security level in IE may be set too high. You can try reducing it by following the directions below.
(Obviously this browser has security issues, so please do this at your own risk.)

  1. Tools -> Internet Options -> Security
    (The Tools menu may not be visible (this is usually the default in IE). Try right clicking near the top of your browser window to rectify this.)

  2. Move the slider to the bottom (default is centre)
